I live in the wild, beautiful Highlands of Scotland. I wake up so grateful every day that this is my home. I live near the funny old Findhorn Community, and find a good number of like-minded friends on the fringes of this curious place, although not that many of a pagan persuasion, and none with particularly druidish leanings, that I know of … (yet!) I'm an animist, and druidish teachings most inform the path I walk. Fundamentally earth-based, rooted in landscape, sometimes a bit polytheistic, with witchy and 'shamanic' influences; also some quaker and buddhist influences. I seek understanding of and connection with my ancestors and the land where I live, and that guides everything else. I particularly love the work of Emma Restall Orr and Phillip Shallcrass, which is how I come to be a member of TDN and the BDO. I'm currently working on the bardic course. I hold semi-regular gatherings for ceremony, in the wildish places near me, honouring the cycles of life, moon and sun. After twelve years of solitary ritual, in the last few years, people have been joining me, and seem to be enjoying what we do together. I have studied herbal medicine, and although life took me on a different path before qualifying as a herbalist, I am a pretty good healer. I am currently studying for a diploma in person-centred counselling and psychotherapy. I'm also an artist, a keen dancer and practitioner of embodied arts. I'm interested in indigeneity, trauma healing, grief work, ancestral healing work sacred activism, decolonisation, and creating healthier alternatives to the dominant culture. I'm into neurodiversity, queerness, polyamory, and other beautiful alternatives to "normal". I'm keen to make deeper, 'real-er' connections with fellow druidish folk. Community is so precious.
