I am originally from Hertfordshire and had a mixed upbringing of old traditions and Christian schooling. Some of my childhood was spent in a small village that kept old traditions and celebrated the wheel of the year, although very localised and away from outsiders. I massively value and appreciated that upbringing of oneness, appreciation and connection with nature. At 20 I moved to London, then Brighton and although still observe the cycle in my own way privately I feel I have become less connected with nature. Now, at 33, I have had my first child and second on the way I'm looking to reconnect myself with nature and providing my children with a similar connection that I had growing up. I've been feeling the call to return to the woods really strongly over the past year or so but as the traditions I grew up with were very specific and localised I'm unsure of how to approach the spirits here. I feel druidry is probably the best way to re-enter traditional natural spirituality. Ideally looking for a fairly active circle in or around Brighton/Hove and potentially looking to revive rituals, if the circle are willing, at local places that seem to be being left unattended: Hove Goldstone, the standing stones under the fountain at the Steine and Chanctonbury. My other interests include film photography, drawing, community health and history. I am in the healthcare profession.
