Dave TheDruid-3X3ParticipantThe next morning, I did a Tour of Willow Bunch and saw the Museum whose Main Attraction is the fact that the Tallest Ever Human Giant Canadian was Born in Willow Bunch and for a time held the World’s Record Tallest Human. That was Edouard Beaupre.
Here is the Front Statue and Memorial:
Willow Bunch has only one Pub so I went there to check it out and had found from Internet Reviews that it’s Pizza is rated at Very Good so I tried their ‘Jolly Giant Pizza’.
The Internet Reviews were not lying. That Pizza was easily in the Top Ten Best Pizzas that I had ever tasted.

Dave TheDruid-3X3ParticipantThe next morning, I went for a Drive About Tour of little Willow Bunch and stopped in at the Willow Bunch Museum which has displayed the Story of the Willow Bunch Giant Edouard Beaupre who was at that time the World’s Tallest Human ever until Robert Wadlow.
It was an Interesting Museum and here is the Monument out front of the Museum that is Dedicated to Edouard Beaupre the Willow Bunch Giant:

After that, I went to the Jolly Giant Pub and tried their Pizza which I found Online to be said as an Excellent Pizza. I tried their ‘Jolly Giant Special’ and found that it was indeed one of the Best Pizzas I had ever tasted.
I then went back to the Regional Park and had another evening Camp Fire before turning in to my Little Dome Tent for a Nights Rest.

Dave TheDruid-3X3ParticipantThe next morning, I found that I had gotten Lucky and the forecast for 3am Rains had not Fallen and everything was perfectly Dry. So I quickly got up at at 5:30am and quickly got my Tenting Gear packed up and stowed away in my Ford Explorer. The Minor Miracle was that it was the exact moment that I got my Tentage Packed that the First Morning Raindrop hit my Head.
So I then went down to the Park Cook Shack and set up my Kitchen Equipment and had my Breakfast before departing for Regina to have another Visit with my Aunt.

I then decided to take Pictures of Historical Points of Interest to Text to my Druidistic Ladyfriend in Ontario that I came across while on my way back to Nipawin.
On Highway 6 while on the way North to Regina, I came upon this one:

Wood Mountain-
Fort Qu’Appelle TrailThe 250 Mile Trail linking Wood Mountain with Fort Qu’Appelle passed this site.
From about 1850, Indians, Hunters, Traders, Missionaries, Mounted Police and Pioneers transported Pelts, Pemmican and Provisions over its length.
From Wood Mountain the Trail ran East to Willow Bunch, North-East over the Dirt Hill across Moosejaw and Wascana Creek to the Hudson’s Day Company Fort on the Plains and thence North to Fort Qu’Appelle.
Cat Trains normally made their trip in Three Weeks.
Father Lestano was a regular Traveller Ministering to Metis Settlements.
In 1881, Sitting Bull led his Sioux Band this way vainly seeking Sancuary in the Qu’Appelle Valley.

When I left Regina, I came upon the Steffenson Family Cairn which is about 163Km North of Regina on the 6th Hwy.
It Commemorates a Farming Family that Donated the Farm Land to be allowed to Grow Wild allowing Native Plants to take over the Land.
The Text on the Cairn goes:
” Through the donation of this land (s1/2 SW 7-34-18 W2)
To the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation’s Habitat Trust Fund,
we hope to preserve native plant species and to provide
an area for wildlife observation for future generations.Although much of this land has been tilled in the past,
many native plant species have reintroduced themselves again. Will one of these native plant species become important
as a food source, in the production of an industrial product,
or in a pharmaceutical product? Only knowledge acquired
in the future will answer these questions.Take a moment to enjoy the wild plants and animals
that share this land with us.Ernest, Lorraine and Murray Steffenson

Got up this morning to find something that I had not known about.
Got Googled that this is also Nation Indigenous Peoples Day which has actually been held on Summer Solstice since 1945.
Here is it’s Canadian Government Listing:
https://www.rcaanc-cirnac.gc.ca/eng/1100100013718/1708446948967So I guess I will drive out to the Nipawin Medicine Wheel this morning to have a Meditative Retreat and watch the Pelicans Fly around.

Dave TheDruid-3X3ParticipantHere is some Information about National Indigenous Peoples Day from it’s Wikipedia Listing:
National Indigenous Peoples Day (French: Journée Nationale des Peuples Autochtones; formerly National Aboriginal Day)[1] is a day recognizing and celebrating the cultures and contributions of the First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Indigenous peoples of Canada.[2]The day was first celebrated in 1996, after it was proclaimed that year by then Governor General of Canada Roméo LeBlanc, to be celebrated annually on 21 June. This date was chosen as the statutory holiday for many reasons, including its cultural significance as the Summer solstice, and the fact that it is a day on which many Indigenous peoples and communities traditionally celebrate their heritage. A proposal to rename the day National Indigenous Peoples Day was made in 2017. The bill to make that change (C-369) was still being debated by parliament when the legislature was dissolved.[3] The federal Crown has begun referring to the day as National Indigenous Peoples Day, regardless.[4]
This day has been celebrated as a statutory territorial holiday in the Northwest Territories since 2001 and in Yukon since 2017. It is not however, currently considered a statutory holiday across the rest of the country.[5]
