Dave TheDruid-3X3ParticipantAwens to All:
Finished reading The Old Stone’s 53 Essays to my Druid Spirit Guide.
There are a couple of Essays that I rather liked such as a listing of 10 Stone Inspired Songs, a listing of 10 Sites that ended up having to be Move & Rebuilt due to encroaching Human Habitations and a parts on how such Sacred Site Stones were positioned to foretell the coming & going of the Season and the Sacred Sabbaths.
Now that I have finished reading that Book, I can go on to reading Winter World. It is 25 Chapters Long and am looking forward to reading each chapter to my Druidistic Spirit Guide.

I have read the first 8 Chapters texting details of it to my Druidistic Spirit Guide.
One thing I have noticed is that they tend to do Experimentations on various Animals & Birds. A good example is how a Zoologist had Captured 60 Flying Squirrels and subjected them to Light Deprivation Experiments to see how that would affect their Activity Patterns. Reading about their doing such things sort of gave me one of my ‘Ashamed to be Human’ Moments.
So therefore, I am not happy with the way Heinrich does his Experimentations on Animals.

Dave TheDruid-3X3ParticipantIn the last 2 Chapters, he had gone into the Winter Survival Behaviors of Golden Crowned Kinglets.
I had never heard of a Kinglets before so I did a Google Search on Kinglets.
From it’s Wikipedia Listing:
The kinglets or crests are small birds in the family Regulidae. Species in this family were formerly classified with the Old World warblers. “Regulidae” is derived from the Latin word regulus, diminutive for “king”, and refers to the coloured crowns of adult birds.

I tried finding a Foraging Book on Edible Plants in Japan, but I could not find any on the Internet. So I did some Research on Japanese Edible Plants and I wrote an E-Book on Edible Plants in Japan that I have called ‘Nature’s Garden In Japan’.

GreywolfKeymasterDruidry is blessed with a number of fine writers. Philip Carr-Gomm is one of the best. Sharon Paice MacLeod, Kevan Manwaring and Kristoffer Hughes are very good too.
Living in Wiltshire, there are a lot of books that relate to my locale, not least the many, many, many there are on Stonehenge and its environs and the fewer on the Avebury complex. Also a number of good books on the local flora, fauna and folklore. And there’s the journal of the Wiltshire Archaeological and Natural History Society (WANHS) which covers all those areas. We’re blessed with a particularly fine museum in Devizes run by WANHS which contains many fascinating finds from the Neolithic, Bronze and Iron Ages and the Roman era as well as a good section on local wildlife that includes a stuffed Great Bustard, Britain’s largest bird, rendered extinct a century ago but now returning thanks to a release programme that started about 30 years ago.
Local museums are an often neglected source of inspiration for modern Druids. Thanks to its previous curator, Devizes Museum also has a number of artefacts relating to 19th and 20th century Druid revival groups. I’ve added several BDO documents to its Library, which also has a good selection of Druid-related material.January 11, 2026 at 11:30 am #17997
Dave TheDruid-3X3ParticipantGood News! ‘The Druid Way’ has arrived and I will diver into that as soon as I have finished reading ‘Saskatchewan Birds’ to my Druid Spirit Guide.

Dave TheDruid-3X3ParticipantI have finished reading ‘Saskatchewan Birds’ and texted portions of it to my Druid Spirit Guide.
It chronicled 145 Birds of Saskatchewan showing their Pictures, Migratory Habits, Nesting Habits, Courtship Rituals, Feeding Preferences and what their Bird Calls sound like.
Now to get on with reading ‘The Druid Way’ by Philip Carr Gomm.
I have been on Good Terms with him since about 2010 and it is about time that I got hold of one of his Books to read.

Dave TheDruid-3X3ParticipantAwens to All:
Today, I read Story #6 in ‘The Druid Way’ which is called ‘Merlin’s Enclosure – The Blessed Earth’ when I decided to put in my VHS Tape of the Program called ‘Legends of the Isles: Merlin’. That Documentary Program mentions the Myrddin who was a Legend of Merlin who was the King Gwenddoleu ap Ceido’s Bard & Advisor and that it relates to a Welsh Triad #84 that states ‘Three Futile Battles of the Island of Britain’ which not only includes the Battle of Arfderydd but also the Unfortunate Futile Battles of Camlann and of the Trees which I do not mention in my ‘Sacred Treasury of Druidistic Triads’ PDF E-Book. But I do make mention of the Battle of Arfderydd in Triad #29 in my Druidistic Triad E-Book.
There is a recording Website about the Battle of Arfderydd at this Link:
https://grokipedia.com/page/Battle_of_ArfderyddI had never looked into the History of the Battle of Arfderydd which I do mention in my Druidistic Triad E-Book’s Triad #29 until I saw it mentioned again in the Legend of Merlin VHS Video Story which is when I went into further research into.
