      Awens to All:

This is the Celebration of the Harvests being gathered in. This is a Celebration that is a Work Break from the Harvest Gathering that started with taking in the Early Crops that are Ripe at about Lughnasad. So this Celebration involves Eating and Drinking as much of the Early Harvest as possible. That is especially for the Fruits & Vegetables that tend to go bad before to long.

A lot of Cider, Pickles and Preserves are prepared at about this time so this is the time of year for lots of Jams, Jellies and Pickles are brought out for Tasting Contests. There is also a lot of Beer, Ciders and Meads made for the Winter Festive Drinking.

So what sort of Harvests have you guys been Reaping from your Gardens during your Autumnal Equinox Celebrations?

Today, I am making a Big Pot of Beef Barley Soup to Freeze and have for Work Lunches for the next month or so.

So far I have dried some nettle leaves for teas, all-heal and lemon balm for tinctures. I will be picking plums, blackberries and hawthorn fruit for fruit leathers.

While I was at Work yesterday, I got a Picture of some Autumnal Equinox Trees that have Changed Color:

        Autumnal Equinx Trees

They were the First Trees I have seen this Season that have Changed Color.

I really did not do much else for Celebrating Autumnal Equinox except Text Pictures of those Trees to a few fellow Pagans.

          Awens to All:

We are now into September and that means the annual Celebration of Autumnal Equinox is coming up.

Sun has already started noticeably Setting earlier and later to Rise.

I have not had any Time from constantly Working in order to get in some Camping. So I should be onto arranging something.

Nothing beats a Celebratory Campfire far out in the Mountain Forests!

            Happy Autumnal Equinox!!!

I was planning on going off Camping but have now so much Work that I am going out to make $$$$ instead of Spending $$$$ on Camping Expenses.

So I have confined myself to a Small Celebration by making a batch of Beef Stew Meat Pies.

I made the Beef Stew Filling from Filipino Event Beef Stew with a Fresh Onion, Celery, Peas, Carrots and extra Spices.

            Now off to Work!

yeah Dave you could always take portable solar panels to generate your electricity out in the field. I’ve heard they are quite economical and with the hike in fuel prices an all, I don’t know why more people are turning to solar power in general. but people on benefits are probably not o keen on signing contracts an all.

                  Awens to All:

It is now 2 Weeks to Autumnal Equinox and I have Two Festivals to go to.

One is World Rivers Day at Burnaby’s Heritage Park and in the evening, going to the Renfrew Ravine Moon Festival. Both are on the Saturday of the Equinox.

                  Looking forward to it!
