The Leaf Dance Moon’s Festival is Samhain and welcomes the Waxing Winter. Listening is the Perception of this Moon. It’s Element is Stone and is the Time of Year that is Devoted to the Ancestors. It is the Time of Mushrooms. We must have Release of our Fears of Death and have Empathy from Past Pains for others with Similar Pains. And it is the Time of Year to have Honesty on how we Accept the Different Karmanic Energies between the Abusers & the Abused.

The Fire Friend Moon takes us towards the Winter Solstice also known in Drudiry as Alban Arthan.

Being the Darkest Part of the Year, the Fire Friend Moon brings out the Instinctive Fear of the Dark. The Element of the Fire Friend Moon is the Creative Forces of the Womb and it represents the Creative Spaces for Ideas, Dreams, Hope and for Stories.

Family is the Focus of the Fire Friend Moon in terms of our Human Relationships. It allows the Teaching of the Values & Power of Family Units not just for our Present Day but also for our Ancestors.

The Environment of the Fire Friend Moon is Symbolized by the Yew Tree and asks for what Tree, Plants or Animal that is the Most Important to you. It is the Deer running about outside my Windows that I see that seems to be the Most Important Animal at this time of year.

This is the time of Year that the Mysteries of Life are considered and consider what Humanity can not explain such as why it gets Colder during January & February even though the Days that it is getting Longer. You would think that it would be right at the Winter Solstice that the Winter is at it’s Coldest.

The Ethics for the Fire Friend Moon is having Courage which is one of the 3 Things that Bobcat declares is necessary for being Honorable. It is this time of the Year that Humanity’s Ancestors needed to have the Courage to Survival the Difficulties of Winter.

The next Full Moon will be just after the New Year on January 3rd.

This morning, the Full Moon came around and since it is around a Full Month from the next Full Moon which is closest to Imbolc, I have decided that this particular Full Moon can be called a “Quickening Moon”.

So this morning, since it was visible on the Horizon just before going down, I ran outside at about 7:30am and got a quick Picture of the Full Moon.

The Quickening Moon has the Constraints of Superstition Dismissed. This Moon is an opportunity to find where we are upon our Journey which is to make a Review of our Lives. Instead of the same Guidelines used in other Units, the Quickening Moon has just Two Guidelines.

Since the Quickening Moon is routinely Celebrated every Four Years, one should do a Review of how their Lives had changed in the Past 7 Years.

In 2019, I was Deep In Debt and could not see myself getting out of it.

Then I suddenly got into a Resident Caretaking Opportunity that allowed me to Work Rent Free and in the following 3 Years was able to make enough to not only Pay Off my Debts but ended up with a few Thousand Dollars in the Black. That, along with an Advance on my Inheritance, enabled me to Move out of the Dirty Crowded City to the Small Town of my Canadian Ancestors.

Now I am sitting here being able to Plant an Annual Garden raising enough Vegetables to Live On.

Although I was not able to achieve all that I wanted in the Past Year, I am still Grateful for being able to Live in the Country close to the Lands of my Canadian Ancestors.

Then the 2nd Guideline is that Bobcat has designated to this Full Moon is Honor and that is what the Welsh Brehon Laws.

In Druidry we live by a Code of Honour, but what does ‘Honour’ mean? For that, I take the Meanings of Honor from Bobcat’s Book ‘Living With Honor’ which states that Honor is based on being Gratuitous, Courageous and Loyal.

Tonight is February 1st and that is both the White Waking Moon of Bobcat’s Perennial Druid Course as well as Imbolc. So I was able to have a Single Fire to Celebrate Imbolc as well as the White Waking Full Moon one the Same Night.

Here is the Picture of Tonight’s White Waking Moon:

For the White Waking Moon, the Festival for this Imbolc or Gwyl Fair which is Celebrated on around February 2nd. This is the Festival that Celebrates the Time of Year between Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox. Imbolc Serves the Predators of Nature as this is the time of Year that some Animals are at their Weakest during this time of Year which makes it easier for Predators to get their Prey. This is the time to Celebrate the Foxes, Coyotes and Wolves as they create the means for the Stronger to Survive.

Imbolc represents the Season of the Waxing Spring which is the First Festival of the coming Spring. This is the Time that one should start looking for the Snow Drop Flower. Also, the Rowan is the Tree associated with this Moon. Also, the Lungwort Plant are the First to Flower at this time of Year.

This Moon’s Perception is of the Dance of New Life breaking through the Frozen Constraints of Winter. Dance the Emergence of New Life of the New Young Season. My Favorite type of Music for this Time of Year is the Beatles ‘Here Comes The Sun’ by George Harrison.

The Element for this the Breath of Fresh Air of New Life. Not only do we have to commemorate our way of Breathing but we have to consider how Trees Breath too with their Photosynthesis. It also signifies how we should be Relaxed as Life goes by.

Since this is the Young Part of the New Growth of Spring, this Moon represents the Babies & Children of Humanity.

For Ethics, this Moon signifies how the Voice is a Powerful Tool for Provoking Change. It also points out that one should use your Letters, Emails and Signs to create Good Change in Life and how one should be Responsible for what one says.

This is the Moon that is signifies when one should consider one’s Achievements through the Recent Past Cycle.

It is now the Evening of the Wind Tossed Moon.

Did some Snow Shoveling as the Fire Pit was completely covered with Snow as there had been a few Blizzards around lately.

Got the Fire Pit cleared off at about Noon and at about 6:40pm, lit the Wind Tossed Moon Ceremonial Fire.

It was too Cloudy for me here to get a Picture of the Wind Tossed Full Moon. But my Druid Spirit Guide in Quelph Ont managed it.

The Festival of this Moon is the Spring Equinox. Bobcat invites you to choose your own name for this Moon so long as it reflects your Nature.

It invites you to start looking out for Significant Moments that tells you that the Seasons are Truly Alive. The Scent of the Wind is now Different bringing Growth & Hope.

Preception of Touch is finding out what the World around you Feel Like.

Element is Wind which works for me well at the moment as there has been some rather Wind Snow Storms around my area lately.

It relates how this is the Moontide Time for respecting ones Siblings and to improve on this sort of Relationship.

The Ash Tree is associated with the Wind Tossed Moon.

There is an Invitation to watch for which local Plants are making the most of the Extra Hours of Light.

This is the Time of the Year where you assess Yourself and Your Change to find your Limitations and Challenge them. Might be something I could Ear Mark for this Time Next Your.

It says that is a Good Time to Share a Tale but I have always enjoyed Telling Tales.

Lastly, the Ethics that are to be examined is Respect be it Self Respect or Respect for Others. It pretty much calls upon one to assess their Self Respect in regards to what Vices that overtake you be it what you Smoke or Drink.

This is the Evening of the Flower Shower Moon of Bobcat’s Perennial Druid. It is know for being the time that there is a sudden Abundance of Flowers in our Gardens and Hedgrows. This is the time of the year that I start looking out for the Snowdrops to come out.

The Festival for the Flower Shower Moon is the Alban Eilir Spring Equinox which was just over a week ago. It asks you to consider what you want to do in the next 6 Months. I am hoping to do well in the new Temporary Job I just got Hired for working for the Government. This Moon’s Season is the Waning part of Spring after the Equinox

The Perception of this Full Moon is what you can Taste & Smell. What I definitely like Smelling during the Full Moons and Sabbaths is the Smells of the Ceremonial Fires. I have also be doing the Annual Spring Cleaning by doing a lot of Snow & Ice Clearing.

The Sky is the Element of the Flower Shower Moon. It says that the Air does not hold us. That it is Unstructured or Framework. It can feel Unsafe and even Dangerous. Of course, the Sky reaches out to the Universe of which there is No Limitations.

For Humanity, the Relationship of Friendship is pointed to. Friendship is what you expect from those who you Trust having the Balance of Freedom and Limitations of Life. Freedom is mentioned again when looking for what one should want from Relationships or within Solitude. And one should have good Ethics when allowing others their Freedoms of Life.

This is the Moon at which the First Leaves of the Environment. Of that, I am looking for the Leaves to start Growing on my Local Saskatoon Bushes.

Then is says that one should feel Wonder at the World that surrounds you during this Life.

Now to go out and start my Fire.
