The Quickening Moon has the Constraints of Superstition Dismissed. This Moon is an opportunity to find where we are upon our Journey which is to make a Review of our Lives. Instead of the same Guidelines used in other Units, the Quickening Moon has just Two Guidelines.
Since the Quickening Moon is routinely Celebrated every Four Years, one should do a Review of how their Lives had changed in the Past 7 Years.
In 2019, I was Deep In Debt and could not see myself getting out of it.
Then I suddenly got into a Resident Caretaking Opportunity that allowed me to Work Rent Free and in the following 3 Years was able to make enough to not only Pay Off my Debts but ended up with a few Thousand Dollars in the Black. That, along with an Advance on my Inheritance, enabled me to Move out of the Dirty Crowded City to the Small Town of my Canadian Ancestors.
Now I am sitting here being able to Plant an Annual Garden raising enough Vegetables to Live On.
Although I was not able to achieve all that I wanted in the Past Year, I am still Grateful for being able to Live in the Country close to the Lands of my Canadian Ancestors.
Then the 2nd Guideline is that Bobcat has designated to this Full Moon is Honor and that is what the Welsh Brehon Laws.
In Druidry we live by a Code of Honour, but what does ‘Honour’ mean? For that, I take the Meanings of Honor from Bobcat’s Book ‘Living With Honor’ which states that Honor is based on being Gratuitous, Courageous and Loyal.
