I did some more Re-Readinng of Living With Honour yesterday and found this on Page #115:

Yet some of the ethics still remain: both personal and tribal behavior can be closed, insular and untrusting. An emotionally secure person may not mind being teased, but persistent ribbing can wear down the strongest individual. The constant need to breatee in and find strength before explaining one’s religion to an enquirer is exhausting. Working, as I do, on a daily basis, talking to people about the Pagan community’s needs and sensivities, can still be a very steep climb.

I see this as a Prewritten Explanation for her need for Peaceful Solitude in her Retirement.

And then here is when she Quotes Ronald Hutton on Page #119:

Ronald Hutton wrote of Wiccans he knew: “All believed in a tolerant and pluralist society with maximum potential for individual choice and self-expression. They shared a concern for environmental issues, and especially those which directly affected their own home districts. However, none actually joined protest camps formed to halt the latter – in sharp contrast with Pagan Druids and non-initiatory Pagans with whom I am acquainted”.

Further down the page, Bobcat refers to such Neo Paganistic Druid’s Inaction being based on “Selfish, Blinkered Attitudes”.

With the amount of Volunteer Work I have done on Salmon Creeks, Buddhist Temples and Reconciliation Parks, I can certainly say that I do not have a Selfish Blinkered Attitude.
