Dave TheDruid-3X3Unfortunately, there was a Frost shortly after I Planted My Tomatoes so most of them have Died. I was told to put a Tent of Plastic over them so that is what I did with most of them that had those Wire Frames over them. The ones I had no Frame over them got Cardboard Boxes put over them. The local Garden Center Owner advised me to put Cardboard Boxes over Tomatoes to save them from Freezing.
The Tomatoes with Cardboard Boxes over them Survived the Frost. The one with Plastic over top of them Died mainly became Too Hot inside of them from the day’s 25*C Temperatures.
So the Tomatoes that had Cardboard Boxes over them have a 100% Survival Rate when it comes to Protecting the Tomatoes from Frost if you make the mistake of putting in your Tomatoes too early.
I also have had another Disappointment. I got the Chili Plant Seeds about 2 Weeks ago and put them into a 18 Cup Egg Carton. I was trying to get some Chilis started to put into a Salsa.
Not a Single Seed has Germinated! Looks like the Package I bought from the Store were all Dead Duds.
So I will Purchase some Chili Plants from the nearby Garden Center and use those Chilis in my Salsa.
