There is lots of evidence and indications that other cultures were also here, some from Europe.

    What’s the evidence then?

And we are talking about standing stones, some of which weighed one ton. How would they have moved those stones?

Probably the same way that other megalithic cultures around the world did the same thing, rope, rollers, fat/oil, and elbow grease.

The largest N.A. cities were 10,000 to 20,000 people – but that doesn’t mean they had technology to build standing stones.

The technology to create a stone circle, as was done by ancient hunter-gatherer – agricultural societies, is nowhere near as complex as the technology involved in creating the stepped-pyramids and the colossal stone works of Mesoamerican cities, nor the social organisation of massive conurbations.

I’m an American, and have had lots of N.A. friends. None of them know of any stone circles built by Native Americans.

I’m British, I don’t any other fellow Britons who know exactly how Avebury and Stonehenge were constructed or by whom. The cultures of thousands of years ago would have likely been completely different from those of today – even if modern people themselves are ‘genetically descended’ from those ancient cultures, in the absence of written records such as we have for Ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia, what cultural memory could there even be? Culture is never static, either, is it? Indeed, the stone circles, standing stones, and megalithic monuments of Britain were shrouded in mystery, magic and folklore, and it is really only in the modern period that any idea, albeit approximately, of the who, why, and when has been gained thanks to archaeology and advanced science.

I’m just saying I don’t know if N.A.’s build stone circles or not but so far I haven’t seen any evidence they did and it may well have been other cultures that also came here.

You have to go with the strongest evidence, and the strongest evidence is that the sites in question are found in areas that have been inhabited by indigenous American cultures for tens of thousands of years – since the to-and-fro of peoples across Beringia 20-30,000 years or so ago. On the other hand, hard evidence that these structures were built by non-indigenous peoples is conspicuous by its absence.
