Personally, I’m not so much bothered whether the things I try are authentic or iron age, I get ideas and inspiration and I try it out. I’ve no illusion that my practice is anything but contemporary. I feel what I do in my practice has to be relevant to myself, time and place. Working solo has given me more opportunity to explore things. If it feels like I’m achieving something, then I keep it. If I feel like I’m just acting, I drop it.
