In the traditions of the British Isles, foremost those of the Highlands of Scotland, the ‘second sight’, I think, was understood as meaning something a little different to how ‘modern’ people may understand it today. I do, however, believe that some people are perhaps born with an extra sense or degree perception. Interestingly enough, and a far cry from a lot of the nonsense on TV these days, the ‘second sight’ in Scotland was not something that was taken lightly, nor was it always seen as a blessing, on the contrary, it might even be considered a bane.
