I need to update what I said above based on some further study:
Both Electromagnetism and Gravity are long range forces. However because electrical charge can be positive or negative it can be screened by matter. So, in principle, electromagnetic forces are long range, but in practice, they will tend to cancel each other out over longer ranges.
