although the archetypes can be laid over as a grid on any religion, I mean, I really can’t identify with some old camel humper with a staff that changes into monster snake. I don’t get how people got so into identifying with desert dwelling action figures. and the whole judeo christian culture is based on a lot of people who needed laws for nomads in the vast wastelands of sand. nothing about that culture applies to us, and I think that the romans just picked the christian religion to spread because it pacified people, to pay their taxes and not fight back against the roman military machine. Anyway, the story goes all the way to the Puritans taking religion to America where in seems to grow wild and take over everything. In contrast, in druidry, there are archetypes that I can identify with and role models like king Arthur and Merlyn and Taliesin.
