There was more belief in faeries about 200 years ago, but now many people no longer believe in the good folk because people can be stupid. Oh yes, they won’t believe in anything that they do no have historic documentation on, or footnotes, or pictures of. but faeries are real, and can be quite dangerous if you piss them off. And can be quite helpful if you get along with them.
