Duncan the Druid thought of The Isle of Snowden and how it was covered in mist most days, but there were days when people could see it rising above the mist. And when these people tried to reach the Isle of Snowden they would find themselves surrounded in mist for seven days, and then find themselves hundreds of miles away from where they started and no closer to the isle of Snowden. It was druid magic that kept the isle of Snowden safe from the refugees who want to go to Snowden and be safe from the rising waters and global warming. And the only ones who could get through the mist were the druids and the witches. At times Duncan was not sure if the magic he was experiencing was real or just imagined, and the lords of Illusion were not making it any easier for him. He had to listen carefully now. Was he really in contact with the collective awareness of a whole new species. And he had to be sure he was not bringing any preconceptions with him. Things were moving fast, and he was use to a slower pace, a slower unfolding of relationships. But he also had to let go of his handful of balloons of preconception, and keep an open mind. And he had to work with the spirit world and hope that a solution would show itself.
