Joining the BDO (Updated June 6th)
FREE MEMBERSHIP!
Clicking the link below should open a blank e-mail addressed to us at BDO HQ. Fill it in with as many or as few details about yourself as you wish - the basic minumum being your name and the area where you live - you might also tell us a bit about your background, skills, interests, whether you'd like to join or start a local grove ... anything you like really. We'll add your e-mail address to our membership list and send you occasional e-mails with news of BDO and related events, happenings and publications. We'll also add your details to a database that will help us offer you what you need: contacts, groves, rites of passage, etc. Naturally, no information will be shared with any third party for any reason, so no spam! It's free and easy, just click here and JOIN THE BDO! Please note: We don't have an automated e-mail response system or the time to send individual acknowledgements but you will be added to our database and will receive the next e-mail newsletter when it is sent out. Newsletters will be a bit irregular because, for the next two years, I'm devoting most of my time to compiling the new BDO courses. Thank you for your patience.

OTHER WAYS TO JOIN:

The most obvious and complete form of membership is signing up for the new BDO distance learning courses. The Bardic Course is online now, with Ovate planned to follow in 2012 and Druid in 2013. See the BDO Courses page for details and links to further details about each of the three courses. The courses are aimed at those who want to become bards, ovates or Druids.

We realise that there are many who like to join Druid rites and events, but who don't necessarily want to be bards, ovates or Druids themselves. For them, there are various other ways to be part of the BDO:

Subscribe to our occasional newsletter, Tooth & Claw (as with the e-mail newsletter, this is currently on hold due to work on the courses).

Come along to one of our open Gorsedd celebrations, where bardic initiations are offered at which thousands of people have taken their first steps on the Druid road. See the Gorsedd page for details.

Join, by invitation, one of our local Groves. See the Groves page for details.

Come along to any of our events. See the (you guessed) Events page for details.
