...."Business Secretary Lord Mandelson reinforced the attack, saying the Lib Dems could hold "disproportionate power" in a hung Parliament and make it difficult to pass counter-terrorism legislation...."
...And of course, as we all know, 'The War on terror,' is just like the 'War on drugs' and a regular boon to Business and industry and well worth perpetuating with myth and legend...still, at least since the Taliban ( ingeneous population), or insurgent, depending upon your Human rights stance) has been almost evaporated in Afganistan, the poppy fields are almost back in full production, and so the 'War on Drugs business will be once again... booming...Ye Gods!!!!!!

You have a point, Mac-Lir. These 'wars on' things are as about as successful as Mary Whitehouse's, clean up TV campaigns. You can't switch to any channel nowadays, without seeing something humpy. Anyway, we haven't to call it a 'hung' Parliament any more, it's a 'balanced' Parliament now. I'm assuming 'balanced', suggests it's, well hung. 8-)

So, here comes the dirty tricks dept...

A Labour candidate is embroiled in a row with the Liberal Democrats after suggesting they would give convicted murderers and paedophiles the vote.

Roger Godsiff, who is standing in Birmingham Hall Green, issued leaflets showing nursery worker Vanessa George, who was jailed for abusing children.

He defended the move, saying his opponents were evading scrutiny, but Labour have now scrapped the leaflet.

The Lib Dems said they would not give those currently in prison the vote.

However, they stressed the issue needed to be looked at following a 2005 ruling by the European Court of Rights that found the UK's ban on extending the vote to convicted prisoners was unlawful

So, that's what I'll be asking the next snivilling door knocker: why aren't you abiding by the European court of human Rights anymore...? Is it because the USA so blatently disregards Human rights, is that why? ...ye gods...give me strength...

See Cory How you manipulated the forum and got people talking politics you smooth talker. Touting somebody's photo around without permission to use as weapon is a bit sick, I think. I can see why people don't vote, and most people I speak to say they haven't got a clue who to vote for. They are sick of the system, sick of politicians spouting crap and do not trust anybody to deliver anything. So what shall we do? Do do Ron Ron Do do Ron Ron. I love you Cory!

I take full responsibility Ange. I will now go and crawl under the bed till after the Election. Some of these door knockers might be debt collectors. :D
