no offence taken here :-) My wife is not a keen dog lover, but if she were, she may often agree with aforementioned sentiments

Thank you Adam you are very gracious. And I am not patronising you. Phew this political correctness is bloody hard work.

Gave me a good giggle, though. Thank you for that, Maggie.

Dog loving friends are forever asking me why I don't want one. Dog, I mean. Allergic is one consideration, phobic is another .... but I always smile graciously and say that I've got a hubby who sheds enough hair all by himself.

Hello,

Does it have to be a lonely hearts thing? Maybe just a meet for like-minded who just happen to be single and may be looking for new chums or romance.

I am a single mum and any excuse to get out and talk to adults is exciting! Especially those whose sole topic is not Peter Andre or how much they hate asylum seekers.

By the way, I do actally have some real friends too. Just in case you thought I was a total saddo.

I'm permanently unpartnered, (and I like it that way!) :D

No complications, but it would be nice to have folk as friends, without the 'partnership' and sexual baggage.

Cheers, Ayana

my few cents for what they're worth-

I would feel less *safe* on the board...and as part of the order in general if we did this(had a romantic corner)... For I would never really know why someone was joining the board... Or pursuing me in communication. This is not to say that Romantic relationships will never occur organically... From interactions here in the order- but I don't think it should be encouraged *officially*...as a sanctioned section.

I would probably post a lot less, and it would affect my fellowship and participation negatively.

And quite basic way I feel it out of place with the general purposes of this board...

But I'm just one member. Others may feel differently and probably do- we are Druids(or becoming!) after all!

LOL! I've got a dog and a bloke and neither of them smell, fart or belch particularly. Am I being deprived of something here? I've also got a wolf with white mask facial markings, but since he's appeared about five times in 21 years, I can't judge as to his "men behaving badly" habits.
I've never done any sort of contrived dating - someone always seems to turn up, and often in the most unexpected ways: but anyway, the pagan scene is quite incestuous enough already and anyone one met via a Druidic lonely hearts corner would probably turn out to be the person you were standing next to in that recent open ritual or whatever, so it could prove embarrassing...

This is an old thread... I suspect it is unlikely to rear its head again and to be honest, it would get squashed as an idea by me on a number of grounds :-D
